The Golden Retriever is a gentle breed with a sense of honor. He is eager in the field, and equally speedy on land or in the water.....true to the nature of a retriever. The breed originated from a Yellow Retriever and a Tweed Water Spaniel, the offspring was later combined with the Irish Setter...giving the breed its color and the Bloodhound to become what we know today as the "true" Golden.
